DHS announced the processes through which nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, and their immediate family members, can apply to come to the United States in a safe and orderly manner. Qualified beneficiaries who are outside the United States and lack entry documents to the United States may be considered, on a case-by-case basis, for advance travel authorization and a temporary stay of up to two years for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit. To participate, eligible beneficiaries must:
• Have a supporter in the United States;
• Undergo and pass a rigorous security background check;
• Meet other eligibility criteria; and
• Merit a favorable exercise of discretion.
